General Science

This is a two or three year course that begins in Year 9 and introduces students to key concepts in physics, chemistry, biology, and astronomy.
The course is wider and deeper than that of the current NCEA Level 1 science syllabus. There is considerable overlap with the Cambridge IGCSE Combined Science curriculum |
The general science curriculum will cover the following topics

Students will have the opportunity to complete the following NCEA Level 1 achievement standards but will not be required to do so. This course is about learning rather than gaining Level 1 credits.
